This woman gives me permission to live the life I've always craved: one of Sabbath, of simplicity, of family, and of doing only the things that are truly life-giving to your own soul. As a fellow writer, she inspires me and whispers, "You can do this." Follow her if you need similar inspiration or a place to rest for awhile.
Creator of Typology podcast and author of The Road Back to You, a primer on the Enneagram, Ian is down to earth but intensely introspective and precise. He puts to words what all of us experience but cannot seem to speak of, he is a gatherer of people, and an adamant celebrator of story and process. His insights and work with the Enneagram have given much life to me.
A beautifully wild hippie gone Jesus whose writings floor me. As the author of several books, she's planted in me seeds of humor, poetry, and a quirky Jesus like I've never seen Him before. Her life story is completely gorgeous and she's nothing normal. Go to her to be challenged, tickled, and understood all at the same time. She gives us all permission to live.
Jordan Lee Dooley
I've followed Jordan for awhile and have gotten to see her ministry & business grow, all the while witnessing her firm devotion to honesty and true authenticity in how she shares her life and the light of Christ. Truly, I have not seen a more vulnerable voice out there. She's the first one I would recommend to any ambitious young girl, Christ follower or not, who needs some love, transformation, and encouragement along their way.
She describes herself as an author, writer, preacher, and recovering know-it-all. I relate. She's a powerful voice in empowering women to use their God given gifts--especially if that gift is preaching! Her book, Jesus Feminist is sweet and strong, like good coffee. She reminds me to be me, be Jesus, and be the bridge into His heart that so many need shepherding to.
Phylicia Delta M.
This woman is one of the most honest writers and teachers I've encountered. Without fear she tackles some of the toughest issues that young women in the church face today. Having written about her and chatted with her in the past, she's a friend that I will continue to be blessed by!
This women has been both a writing mentor and a spiritual mother to me. Her walk with the Lord is sweet and she communicates His heart beautifully on her blog.
Emily Rose - Crea Music
A musician and a best friend. When she speaks, it's poetry and when she sings, it's divine. A soul with the geography of wisdom, bravery, pioneering, and honesty, Emily's music will help you see the world in God's light but not without the color that humanity brings. It's like you've never opened your eyes until listening to this one.
Matt Chandler and The Village Church
"I wonder what Matt says about this..." is a thought that frequently runs through my head. He would probably even cringe that I think that as he is completely sold out to The Gospel, Christ's Lordship, and getting pride out of the picture. I've never attended The Village Church, but, each and every time I listen to Matt's preaching I can't help but feel shepherded and like I've experienced God's father-heart a little more deeply.
This one finds truth in every situation. She's a dweller, an adventurer, and a bright light. The simplicity with which she communicates from her deep meditation and unending pursuit for truth. You'll read about the mundane and the spectacular and how God shows up in it all.
Bill Johnson and Bethel Church
I don't just learn from Bill Johnson's preaching, I gain revelations and impartations. This man only preaches what he has victory in in his own life and the power is immense. Without hesitation, he is the first preacher I would suggest to anyone.
If there's are spiritual gifts for excellent metaphors, aesthetics, and asking good questions, she's got them all. Reading her blog is like reading poetry and you'll come away wiser for it. She's my best friend for about 8 years and she's low key the reason my life is so awesome.
Matt Rice and Life City Church
My home church! The Holy Spirit moves powerfully through this man and church and I share almost every one of his sermons I get to hear.
